Kcom Hub and Spoke Network Node Interface (NNI)

With Kcom, you can utilise our Ethernet Hub and Spoke model. This enables you to offer varying speeds to your customers, whilst having your own designated Ethernet hub applications

How does it work?

  • One site is designated as a hub for your Ethernet connectivity, for example, your head office or data centre and you have a set amount of bandwidth going into this hub – 1GB
  • Each of your customers can be connected to the hub via a single spoke, and they can receive any amount of bandwidth, max 100Mb

Hub and spoke technology saves the expense and complexity of connecting all your sites directly to each other.

  • Flexible core bandwidths between 1Mb/s and 100Mb/s
  • Ethernet over Copper access: 1Mb/s to 10Mb/s to your customer, so they can install whatever applications they choose
  • Geographic coverage: Serviced via 604 nodes throughout the UK and will increase to 1,100 in the future. The service utilises the meshed interconnects of the Kcom and BTW core networks
  • SLA: End to end target availability of 99.93%, resiliency availability of 99.97%
  • Circuit restoration: 4 hour fix
  • Business efficiencies: Hub and Spoke from Kcom can deliver important business efficiencies through convergence by running IP, voice and data over a single platform.
  • Scalable options: Point to Point scalability for customers that require increased bandwidth or the addition of new sites
